Social Determinants of Health Presentation at the Legislature Nov. 17th

On Tuesday, October 13th and Wednesday, October 14th of next week, there are two important meetings you are urged to attend

On Tuesday evening, October 13th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. there will be a Health Care Reform Roundtable at the West Virginia Cultural Center.  Reverend James Patterson, Executive Director of the Partnership of African American Churches(PAAC)  and Kanawha County REACH Coalition Member will speak on the Health Disparities in West Virginia impacting African Americans.

 

On Wednesday morning, October 14th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon the West Virginia Select Committee on Minority Affairs will convene during the West Virginia Legislative Interim meetings.  The Select Committee will meet in the Senate Judiciary Chambers.  The following individuals will be presenting during the Select Committee hearing.

-        Mr. Robert (Bob) Hardy on Economic Development

-        Reverend Matthew J. Watts on  Juvenile Justice and Prison Overcrowding
